Baseline Population Calculation Tool

This tool enables you to estimate the number of individuals with a high risk of type 2 diabetes (also known as pre-diabetes / non-diabetic hyperglycaemia) within your locality or CCG.

High risk is defined as having an HbA1c of between 6.0% to 6.4% inclusive. Just enter the number of individuals aged between 40 to 75 years within your locality or CCG and the tool will automatically generate the estimated number with a high risk of type 2 diabetes and number of those likely to progress to type 2 diabetes each year.

The data underpinning this calculation tool are derived from large population studies within the East Midlands and a systematic review of the evidence [1,2].
