Denise Orwin
Education and Research Facilitator
Denise has been part of the NHS team for over 25 years, in both administrative and clinical roles, working with people living with diabetes. Denise’s current role allows her to pursue her passion to engage with and help people in a more in-depth, nuanced approach.
Denise enjoys being able to spend quality time with people in a group environment, whilst remaining within a healthcare setting.
Denise works with both healthcare professionals and members of the public; training community champions and new educators to deliver health messages.
She evaluates self-management education programmes through the robust Intervention Fidelity processes created and provided by the IMPACT team. These skills and processes enable interventions to “do what they say on the tin” and can be used with our collaborators, which is invaluable in research studies.
