The Leicester Diabetes Centre (LDC) presents leading experts and diabetes-related research at the 58th EASD Annual Meeting 2022
The 58th EASD Annual Meeting 2022 takes place from the 20th September through to 23rd September and is going to be a hybrid event offering an outstanding scientific programme, delegate interaction, virtual elements and in-person areas to explore in Stockholm, where the event is taking place.
Join experts from the Leicester Diabetes Centre throughout the event as they will be presenting through a variety of engaging formats, including live-streamed symposia and programme presentations.

Professor Pratik Choudhary
Professor Choudhary is a Professor of Diabetes at the University of Leicester, joining the LDC in 2020 after 15 years at King’s College London.
Professor Melanie Davies CBE
Professor Davies is a clinician and one of the UK’s leading clinical researchers. Along with Professor Kamlesh Khunti, Melanie leads the Diabetes Research Centre based at the Leicester Diabetes Centre, one of the largest clinical research groups in diabetes in the UK.
Professor Kamlesh Khunti CBE
Professor Khunti is one of the UK’s leading clinical researchers. A Professor of Primary Care Diabetes and Vascular Medicine at the University of Leicester, he is the Director of NIHR ARC East Midlands. Professor Khunti is a NIHR Senior Investigator and Principal Investigator on several major national and international studies.
Professor Samuel Seidu
As well as being a General Practitioner and Partner at Hockley Farm Medical Practice, Professor Seidu is also NIHR Clinical Lecturer at the University of Leicester.
Professor Seidu is Head of Research for Primary Care Diabetes Europe (PCDE) and also the Chair of the PCDE Study Group of European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD). He is the Associate Editor of the Primary Care Diabetes Europe Journal and a Clinical Lead and mentor for Diabetes in Leicester City Clinical Commissioning Group.
