NIHR National Patient Recruitment Centre

The NIHR Patient Recruitment Centre: Leicester (PRC: Leicester) is dedicated to setting up and delivering late phase commercial clinical trials in the NHS at pace and scale.

It is one of five National Patient Recruitment Centres that work collaboratively, through an innovative national franchise-like model, to make it easier and quicker to deliver commercial research in the UK. 

By attracting more commercial research to the UK, PRC: Leicester increases opportunities for NHS patients to access cutting edge treatment and therapies that are not yet widely available through the NHS. They work across the region, through our partners and stakeholders, to ensure as many people as possible are given an opportunity to take part in research.

PRC: Leicester is hosted by the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and based at Leicester General Hospital.
